Traits are almost exactly the same as FATE 2.0 Aspects. They can be anything a player wants. They can be things dear to the character, secrets that they do not want to get out, personality traits, accomplishments, indeed anything. You may already have decided four define traits earlier in the character creation process.

Each character gets 4 Traits at creation, others can be acquired later on, either through deeds, or reactions.

Bear in mind they do not have to be good! In fact negative Traits will round your character out more and give ample opportunity for you to role-play your character better in tense situations.

Example Traits



Children – i.e. has children of their own

Seasoned – i.e. may get re-rolls on procedures, may have a reputation etc.
