Here is the list of skills available to players, this is not exhaustive, but the most relevant for the campaign.

  • Administration – filling in reports and writing up notes, helps at higher levels and makes cases more watertight
  • Awareness – picking up on the sights, sounds and smells of the world around you
  • Driving – being able to drive better, faster and more safely
  • First aid – being able to treat people properly at the scene
  • Guns – knowledge of the care and use of all types of firearms
  • Intimidation – the “bad cop” interrogation routine, and “presence” in court and on the streets
  • Local knowledge – knowing where suspects might go, short cuts, and the local general population
  • Persuasion – the “good cop” routine, helps to calm people down and win people around to your way of thinking with diplomacy
  • Police procedure – knowledge of crime scene technique and proper arrest and search procedure, can help in the courts
  • Running – both sprinting and long distance running, also indicative of general agility
  • Stealth – being able to hide or trail someone without being detected
  • Streetwise – being able to develop contacts, handle them and generally get on with people who may cause trouble
  • Strength – general endurance as well as physical strength, useful in addition to unarmed combat to handcuff resisting criminals
  • Swimming – being able to swim faster and for longer periods of time
  • Unarmed combat – use of everything bar a firearm, so nigthstick, karate, judo etc. Good for less-than-lethal uses
